The Sponsorship Program of Save the Children Philippines (SCP) is redesigning its program to focus on reaching children who are most impacted by inequality and discrimination in both its current areas in the cities of Caloocan, Malabon and Navotas (CAMANA) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and in Region 12 in Mindanao.
The Kabataan Konek continues to evolve in Mindanao and in CAMANA with its developing contexts, lessons learned from the implementation in 2021, and from the feedback of children. There is a need to continue to capture how strategies and/or approaches of community development officers have evolved to respond to changing contexts. It is also significant to document which feedback and what particular inputs coming from children are being adopted by the community support groups, local government units, and national government agencies. This research delved into how the Child-Centered Social Accountability (CCSA) approach has evolved when applied in the current program areas. It identifies innovations and/adaptive approaches developed to respond to any evolving issues involving children.
ANSA-EAP has been engaged to roll-out a series of research activities with these goals in mind.
