Dr. Angelita Gregorio-Medel shares her thoughts on the Fall Annual meeting of the World Bank. She wrote briefly on the history of ANSA-EAP, the present activities of ANSAs in their respective regions, the recent launching of ANSA-Arab World, and other developments in the development world.

In the series, originally published by Manila Standard, Dr. La Viña talks about the role of social accountability in various governance and development efforts. Dr. La Viña is the dean of the Ateneo School of Government, ANSA-EAP’s host institution, and is a member of the ANSA-EAP Advisory Board.

World Bank President Robert B. Zoellick and Director of Governance and Civic Engagement at CARE, Egypt, Amr Lashin signed an agreement granting CARE seed funding to kick start a network across the Middle East and North Africa designed to foster accountability through civic participation.
