ANSA-EAP held a Mentoring Workshop for SAc in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on 12 to 14 April 2011.
The workshop aimed to clarify the roles and responsibilities of Mongolian and international mentors and explain the project development and management cycle toward the implementation of a mentoring plan. Nine mentors representing the Partnership for Social Accountability Network, also known as the Mongolia Conveners’ Group, participated in the activity.
Mentoring is an integral part of ANSA-EAP’s approach to facilitating learning-in–action initiatives and SAcLAP-Mongolia’s (Social Accountability Learning in Action Program) learning activities. With mentoring, the learning process goes beyond structured learning sessions to field-based problem-solving skills in project implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
The Mongolian and international mentors will be working with SAcLAP project proponents from April to September 2011 as they implement SAc initiatives in various cities and provinces in Mongolia.
