The Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Pamilyang Pantawid (SNPP or Association of the United 4Ps Families) has undertook several significant activities in past years to further strengthen their ability to organize their communities, engage on policy issues and advocacies revolving around Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program-related issues as a springboard for civic engagement. ANSA-EAP thru the National Endowment for Democracy’s (NED) support continues to assist the SNPP in their efforts to expand membership and engagement in other regions of the country. The aim is to build their capacity, widen their constituency so that they will be positioned in the longer-term to become a significant force in speaking out on other democracy challenges as they attempt to hold the government accountable for policies and programs that undermine democratic governance.

After the victorious lobbying for the institutionalization of the Conditional Cash Transfer or the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), which is the major anti-poverty of the national government, SNPP participated in the crafting of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Law. They have  continuously monitored the implementation of the law and  are now completing the requirements for membership in the National Advisory Council (NAC), the policy making body of the 4Ps program and lobbying for the passage of an expanded 4Ps law.

SNPP has continued its membership expansion activity to other cities of Metro Manila and other provinces nationwide with total members of 172,844. This organization serves as the platform in advancing their advocacy on human rights, democratic participation, and demanding transparency from the government’s implementation of social protection programs including 4Ps law (RA 11310) both in the national and local level.

Despite the mounting challenges and numerous societal problems with the assistance of the project thru ANSA-EAP and supported by NED and the established partnership with network organizations, SNPP continued to implement its organizational programs and activities.
