The World Bank’s global online learning platform is now live. The e-Institute, as the learning platform is called, “will offerpractitioners a virtual classroom to share high quality learning and knowledge resources”.
Social Accountability source information and knowledge from the platform as the World Bank Institute has been a leading institution in this area of work. Social Accountability courses lined up in the e-Institute are:
- Introduction to Social Accountability (October 15, 2011 – November 30, 2011) – a three module course that “will introduce participants to the concept of social accountability and its position within and importance to the broader good governance framework.”, and;
- Social Accountability Tools (January 10, 2012 – March 20, 2012) – which “focuses on the “how-to” of social accountability by providing an introduction to some of the most commonly-used social accountability tools.”
