STAKEHOLDERS from different African countries meeting in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania have made a fresh demand for accountability and transparency in the deployment of public resources by the state-actors within the continent.
The forum called on African leaders to lift their citizens from the morass of poverty and underdevelopment using the instrument of government budget as one of the important public resources.
Also, the gathering has charged African citizens to heighten their demand for better governance and for improved public service delivery by pushing their civic engagement beyond voting.
