The Department of Budget and Management of the Philippines has redesigned their website that makes it easier for users to navigate and for citizens to monitor the budget. They have uploaded the Philippine government budget (General Appropriations Act) of the Philippines from 2008 to 2012 including the National Expenditures Program and Budget of Expenditures and Sources of Financing for each year.
They also made available e-fund releases from the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of the members of Congress; School Building Program (SBP); Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA); Calamity and Quick Response Fund; Statement of Allotment, Obligation and Balances (SAOB), and Status of Allotment Releases.
The DBM also gives, through its Budget ng Bayan (Budget of the People) website explains through illustrations the budget cycle; it discusses the hightlights of the Philippines 2012 budget, its key features and principles, the sources of government’s revenue and the priority expenditures of the government. The 2012 budget can also be downloaded as a Microsoft Excel file.
