Participatory Planning in East Asia:  A Mapping Study

The Participatory Planning in East Asia:  A Mapping Study is now available for download.  The study by ANSA-EAP presents an overview of participatory planning concepts and practices in East Asia including the tools and techniques used, the importance of participatory planning in social accountability practices, and presents four case studies on participatory planning from Kampong Cham province in Cambodia; Surakarata, Indonesia; Erdenet City, Mongolia; and Samar, Philippines

Practitioners Profile Chea Cheysovanna

The regional ANSA East Asia & Pacific network is composed of individuals who are champions of social accountability in their own lives. Read about the stories of social accountability practitioners from our partner organizations in the region. 

This month, we feature the learning-in-action story of  Ms. Chea Cheysovanna from STAR Kampuchea, the coordinating organization for the Civic Alliance for Social Accountability in Cambodia.

 

ANSA-EAP Updates

Annual Network Fellows Meetings. The ANSA EAP Network Fellows held their annual meeting in Baguio City, Philippines.

ANSA EAP Supports Truth-telling in government. Last February 14, ANSA EAP was on-hand to support Ms. Heidi Mendoza, an ANSA-EAP resource person and social accountability champion, in her drive to tell the truth about corruption in the Philippine military. Her statement that day can be read here.

Strategic Planning Report Released. The Indonesian Procurement Network (IPN) has released their strategic planning report detailing the goals and plans of the IPN for Indonesia.

 Parts 2 and 3 of ANSA EAP’s interview with Executive Committee member and Indonesian anticorruption champion Teten Masduki are now online.
